Questions
What happens when someone scans a location QR code?
Their phone opens the coordinates in a maps app so they can see the spot and get directions.
How do I find the coordinates of a place?
In Google Maps, press and hold on the spot and the latitude and longitude appear. Copy them into the generator.
Can I use my current location?
Yes. Tap the current location option and allow location access in your browser. Your location stays on your device and is only used to fill in the coordinates.
Why use coordinates instead of an address?
Coordinates mark an exact point, which helps for entrances, trailheads, parking areas, and rural spots where addresses are vague.
Does a location QR code expire?
No. The coordinates are stored in the code, so it keeps working indefinitely.
